FieldSafe
Keeping lone workers connected when they're working off the grid.
The problem
FieldSafe helps companies protect employees working alone in remote or hazardous areas. Its iOS app had become difficult to maintain and expand, while check-ins stopped working when workers left cellular coverage.
What we made
- A rebuilt Swift app that's easier to maintain and extend
- A simpler structure for adding and updating features
- Direct links to key areas of the app, including lone worker tools
- Satellite check-ins for workers outside cellular coverage
Where it stands
FieldSafe is still evolving. New development now happens in Swift, making the app easier to build on, while satellite connectivity allows scheduled check-ins beyond cellular coverage. The app is also undergoing a frontend redesign to make the experience simpler and easier to use.
